The Ernest Initiative was founded by Ernest Tanor, an educator whose journey from a small farming community in Anwiam, Ghana, to becoming a teacher in Canada demonstrates the life-changing power of education.
Growing up in a humble home, Ernest experienced firsthand the challenges many children face in accessing quality education. Through perseverance, faith, and the support of others, he achieved his educational dreams. Today, he is committed to helping other young people overcome financial barriers and realize their own potential.
The Ernest Initiative exists to ensure that talented students are never forced to abandon their education because of poverty.
To create a future where every child, regardless of financial background, has access to quality education and the opportunity to succeed.
To empower brilliant but financially disadvantaged students through scholarships, educational resources, mentorship, and leadership programmes that promote lifelong learning and community transformation.
